Get the Most of Your Intranet Solutions with the Training Matrix
- Introduction: This lesson provides an overview of intranet solutions in general, Business Connect in particular, and the Microsoft SharePoint framework which is the foundation for our intranet solution.
- Libraries: This lesson introduces you to libraries, one of the two main features that Business Connect uses for storing information. You’ll learn about the two main document libraries we include, which contain several hundred documents ready for you to use and customize to your organization. These documents have been developed over a period of several years, guided by ISO Best Practices.
- Lists: This lesson introduces the Business Connect lists, which store most of the content that is not stored in document libraries. You’ll learn how to use announcements, contact and task lists, and many others. You’ll also learn about integration of these lists with Microsoft Outlook, and how to use views to mine the data stored in these lists.
- Team Sites, Search, and Alerts: In this lesson you’ll learn about Team Connect and the preconfigured team sites it hosts. You’ll also learn how to use search to find information within the intranet solution, and how to set up alerts to notify you when things of interest change in the system.
- Making the most of your system: In this lesson you’ll learn things such as how to add a Business Connect document library to your Network Places to increase the efficiency of working with the information you’ve stored in Business Connect.
- Document control: This lesson gives a brief overview of the document control process in Business Connect. You’ll learn about document versions and version control, how to check documents in and out of a library, and how the document approval process works.
- Customizing knowledge connect: In this lesson you’ll learn how to categorize your documents for easy retrieval, in a way that fits with your organization’s processes.
- Clients First: This lesson introduces our Client Relationship Module. You’ll learn how to connect your client list from Business Connect to Outlook (or an existing Outlook contact list to Business Connect) and have the changes made in either application automatically synchronized in the other.
- Computers First: This lesson introduces our computer system monitoring module. It includes a trouble reporting tracking system, maintenance scheduling and tracking, and features to record your complete computer system inventory, including both hardware and software.
- Customizing your site: This lesson gives an overview of customizing the look and feel of your Business Connect intranet solution.
- Site administration: This lesson is a brief introduction to administering and maintaining a Business Connect solution. Special emphasis is given to the security system used to control access to various Business Connect features. We offer this to all our licensed clients.
- Connecting your mobile work force: This lesson explains the ways your team can connect to and benefit from your Intranet system in the field.
